Healthy Way LA

This is a no cost health program that provides health care coverage to low-income uninsured adult citizens and legal residents at Los Angeles County clinics and hospitals and Community Partner clinics. There are two components, Healthy Way LA “matched” and Healthy Way LA “unmatched.” The “matched” program is for eligible adults ages 19-64 and the “unmatched” program is for other individuals.  Other counties have similar programs.

Healthy Kids

This is a comprehensive health coverage program available to children between the ages of 0 to 5 years old who do not qualify for Medi-Cal.

Provides low-cost health coverage for uninsured children ages 2-18 who are not eligible for no-cost Medi-Cal or Healthy Families in select California counties. Offers medical and dental coverage.

Kaiser Permanente Child Health Plan

This is a private program that provides comprehensive health and dental services to children between the ages of 0-18 who do not qualify for Medi-Cal, Healthy Families or Healthy Kids.

Access for Infants and Mothers (AIM)

AIM is a low-cost health coverage program for pregnant women and their newborns. It has been designed for middle-income families who don’t have health insurance and whose income is too high to qualify for no-cost Medi-Cal. AIM is also available to those who have health insurance if their deductible or co-payment for maternity services is more than $500. If you qualify for AIM, your baby is automatically eligible for enrollment in the Healthy Families Program.

Child Health and Disabilities Prevention (CHDP)

CHDP is a preventive health program serving children and youth. CHDP makes regular well-child checkups available to eligible children, not only those with obvious health problems but also those who appear well.

California Children’s Services (CCS)

CCS is a statewide program that treats children with certain physical limitations and chronic health conditions or diseases. CCS can authorize and pay for specific medical services and equipment provided by CCS approved specialists.
